Videocon D2H

Writing a review on Videocon D2H service just happened to me by seeing an Videocon Dish antenna on someone's rooftop today. Videocon ,in other segments , may not be so popular but when I see so many D2H connections across Bhubaneswar, then it came across my mind that it  is  due to either their  service so commendable or quality of D2H signals may be better than others (as they claimed-noise-free) or may be its cheap.

My take on this D2H service:
In the month of January 2016,  we finally decided to call these guys for installation of D2H service with HD recorder as our TV was full HD already. The TV was bought since last year but still my parents were quite okay with the dumbest picture quality which was thrown by the local cable operator. After government tightened rules for the local cable operators to install set-up box so that everyone could see digital content instead of analog as earlier, the local cable operator was also making arrangements for the set-up box and  used to assure us for best picture quality. But somehow, I was not convinced by him and persuaded my father to get a D2H instead.I finally ordered the Videocon D2H after a little research in internet and talking to relatives, especially my father-in-law in this case, as he was also using this service for a long time. I booked it online to get some discount and avail coupons, which I never used.
The first thing which came to my mind while doing slight research on this is that it is not cheap. As it was almost at par with its competitors as far as price is considered.Picture quality is good..The exact model shown in the above picture is what I am using currently at  home.Remote is very light and can work in any direction.Remote is infrared enabled- what the sales person was telling ,I remember.
But it is very effective. It is very simple to use as well.No need to remember the channel numbers also. You can just go to mosaic and select any channel from any category. All the Oriya channels are also there. For the first three months , the recording facility was free , then it became 30 Rs. per month.
In total, I would strongly recommend this D2H service (in particular) the HD services to anyone who is willing to have a good and prompt service from the provider.

Airtel 4G

This time I would like to review a very common thing i.e. Mobile Network operator's performance  and that to on 4G service.I would like to give a big thumbs up after using it for last 6 months now.I bought this 4G sim card in the month of January 2016.At that time, I was facing a lot of problem in getting calls through Tata Docomo simcard. Somehow, they did not show interest to solve the problem also. Hence , I finally decided to buy a new 4G sim and Airtel was the only option at that time .(Now in Bhubaneswar, Vodafone and Idea are also providing the 4 G service)

I would strongly recommend for a greater coverage area which it really claims and and also strong signal in remote places as well. A good example is in Kalinga hospital , where I found almost every network seems to falter except my Airtel 4G.

Cost wise it may be bulkier to some people , but I would recommend Airtel 4G to those who tend to remain online always .And above all My pack is one of the best idea  they have created in Airtel. It allows user to select voice, sms, 2G data,3G/4G data in all types of price  and usage range. In my case , I use almost 2GB of data in mobile and almost 300 min STD and 400 min local and few sms things. So it all total costs me around 600 Rs on an average. And also I have another post paid service from Airtel, but in Postpaid it seems fixed cost is more and for the same usage billing is slightly more (in the range of 50 to 100 Rs. per month).I am thinking of changing the postpaid to prepaid in few weeks,
Hope you enjoy this article on Airtel 4G from a current user. You can freely post any comments in the box given below.

Patanjali Products

After using the patanjali products for last 6 months , I finally decided to write something about it.
I am quite sure that many people will  agree  that Baba Ramdev has transformed the market by launching these products.

Big brands must have been terrified by the speed and magnitude Patanjali products are accepted by the Indian people. But I know very well ,  that there will be some ,if not many, who will try to subvert the attempt of patanjali to sell healthy food products. And it is being done as well. Few FB and twitter posts are here and there always floating saying or mentioning some bad things about the same .

Till now, I have not come across any such issues with patanjali products.
Be it the famous  noodles ,honey, tooth paste ( danta kranti )or amla juice or biscuits (free of maidaa) , Salt, Sugar(Madhuram), everything has one USP- healthy for the body.

Worldwide food industry is run by some lobbyists who never wants consumer to know certain facts about their popular foods which may contain some unhealthy contents. It is a known fact and they may feel it as a business intelligence. But people eventually suffer for the misguided  propaganda of some rich people.

Now by this patanjali campaign , consumer got some relief at least , as it is cheaper in many categories and in some, it is at par with its competitors.Still some are costlier due to lack of proper sources of raw materials ,perhaps.
What I believe is that craze for good healthy product in market has been always there and people are willing to pay for those products even if they are costly e.g. Amway, Herbalife & many such other brands with direct selling and MLM strategy.

But here , Patanjali have no hidden agenda , it's open and quite clear that  they want Indians to remain healthy by eating healthy.

Pharmacy in Bhubaneswar

This blog is not about all the medicine shops in BBSR (Bhubaneswar- Capital of Odisha) & also this is not any sponsored advertisements as well. This is just experiences I gained over last few days from below three shops mainly.
It is a recent experience of mine due to regular visits to procure medicines for my wife.
I visited three shops normally and reasons are very simple.
>First and foremost is the flat discount or point system they provide ,
>Then secondly the availability of my drugs &
>Lastly the effective supply chain for  getting an unavailable product with committed period of time.

#ApolloPharmacy:-

When we had our first baby my wife used to buy cerelac and other stuffs like diapers and lactogen etc from Apollo pharmacy. as they offered her straight 5% discount on purchase,Later on perhaps they improvised a system where they give us a card which will collect points on my every purchase.
In each FMCG(Fast Moving Consumer Goods e.g. Milk powder ,cerelac, farex, horlix, soap, etc..) product purchase, customer will get 5% discount and that will be stored as a redeemable cash points in every next purchase, But,  for medicines, they provide straight 10%  discount ,again in the same way(redeemable in next purchases).Service in this shop is quite good and the way they respond to customer is also quite satisfactory till now.I am talking here mainly about the Damanaa Shop.Recently got the news that they are going to open a new shop in KIIT square.Their supply chain system is also good what I observe. If I request some drug's name without giving the money also, they bring those medicines on time and called me for reminding to but it.

MedPlus:-

This is also a new shop opened recently, near to the St. Xavier School Chandrashekharpur (actual location -  Kanan Vihar Phase 2 & address link is http://www.medplusindia.com/locations.jsp?selectlocations=&displaystate=0&cities=Select+City&neighbour=Select+Locality).Unlike Apollo they deduct the discounts in each purchase itself and they keep your record by your mobile number only. That is in a way quite attractive to many people who are always suspicious to the point system. But the only demerit in their shop is excessive manpower and less work(what I feel sometimes). You will see 2 people just looking for recieved goods rather than attending to the crowded customers,I feel there is lot of improvisation needed in the customer-handling approach.Always feel chaotic when I entered that shop,

# Ompharmacy:-

I visited this shop just only once in recent times. It is in Kalinga Hospital Square ( address link-)
But it is said to be the 24 X 7 open shop. One critical medicine was not available neither in Apollo nor in Medplus was purchased from this shop in night at around 10:30 PM.Even after buying we had a doubt by not seeing the I.P. after the main composition name of the drug.We called them at 11:30  PM and alas ! they responded very politely, They cleared our doubt within seconds .That is the reason they have been mentioned here,.

Overall I am quite satisfied customer . Lets hope these pharmacy will improve from their current status. My verdict::Apollo is the best medicine shop experience I have obtained.
